Amazing Viking Homework

The children have had great fun making models, researching the Vikings and creating their own recipes and Sagas at home. Here are some of their amazing creations.

Viking Day

We had a fantastic day learning about the Vikings. We dressed up as Vikings, built a  longboat and became Viking raiders, traders and fighters. We learnt how the Vikings invaded Britain and how the Saxons defended themselves. We found out about the different countries the Vikings travelled to and what items they traded. 

We also explored different Viking artefacts. We looked at different Viking toys, discovered what different food Vikings ate and looked at Viking materials, tools and treasure.

In the afternoon we created some Viking art. We made Viking faces out of salt dough and used pastels to create our own Viking art.

A great day was had by all!
